Jeweled Saddle, the 200th album by Michael Robinson, including meruvina compositions and realizations, solo and duet piano improvisations, was inspired by Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Stan Getz and Lee Konitz, the latter being Michael's jazz teacher. The work is deliberately transparently and ethereally scored for clarinet (also influenced by the Three Pieces For Solo Clarinet by Igor Stravinsky) and drums.
