Two Worlds At Once

Its best to live in two worlds at once with music: the traditional and the avant-garde.  How to?  One approach is to worship that which transcends both: quality. Paradoxically, the timeless quality of quality has something to do with pure spontaneity; being in the moment with our senses spiritual, corporeal and intellectual at once. If we are brave and fearless enough to trust honed personal instincts, opposite to copying traditional or avant-garde styles of the past, music suggests the two mentioned worlds will materialize in coexistent fashion. This is a strategic way of doing things we may aspire to.
