Sounds from Silence

Yogis in India seek anahata nada, the unstruck sound, believed to be the metaphysical principle of all physical manifestations in the universe. We are fortunate when supremely sentinent beings, such as Shivkumar Sharma, Johann Sebastian Bach and Lee Konitz, in touch with such silent sensations in their inner realms, are moved to manifest through music, a form of ahata nada, which is struck sound.

Creative and positive use of technology and science is crucial, too, of course. Recent history shows that Adolf Hitler was a fervent denier of science, wrongfully believing it to be a Jewish conspiracy incapable of solving food shortages, and thus justifying seizing neighboring states for their fertile farmlands rather than planning to assure ample sustenance with technology of the time that worked.
