Sharing A Paragraph with Brian Jones

Great to find a wonderful tribute to Harihar Rao, my primary Indian classial music teacher who was the senior disciple of Ravi Shankar, really the person closest to his musical life from teenage years on. Did not know until reading this article how Harihar taught Brian Jones sitar for Paint It Black.

"Rao’s students included the likes of Brian Jones, [Don] Ellis, Ry Cooder, Paul Beaver (who experimented with the Moog synthesiser), Ted Lucas, Robinson and several others, including a few bandmates from the Sextet."

The article's second paragraph includes the following sentence, myself being the first student of Harihar mentioned in the piece: "The American composer Michael Robinson who was one of Rao’s students, described him as an “elegant, aristocratic gentleman with a fine sense of humour."
