Stars Punctuated by Comets
Gregorian Winter comments by Vincent Guarino
After listening to the track several times I was amazed at the similarities in your expression with some efforts and explorations put forth by Coltrane in 1962-3 with his various renditions of “Out of this World”, as an example. The beauty of both is the removal of the listener from conventional structure and complexity to more de-constructed form. The impact of greater with less. Your piece was food for the soul. It was mesmerizingly beautiful. In my mind’s eye I felt the darkness and vastness of space on a autumn night, full of stars punctuated by comets with the earth relaxing between the activities of the day past and to come. Thank you. I am eager to hear where next your music takes you. - Vincent Guarino, February 2022, Pacific Pallisades
